Edelbrock Jeep Cylinder Head

Add More Lungs to Your Jeep 4.0L

For both the serious rock-crawler and Jeep owner looking for more power, adding aftermarket cylinder heads is a required upgrade. Edelbrock’s Performer Heads help you open up a Jeep AND keep it legal (E.O. Number D-215-94).

Can fit a Wide Range of Years

Edelbrock Performer 4.0-liter Jeep head is designed for 1987-2006 Jeep 4.0-liter inline six cylinder engines. It fits the 1991-2006 4.0-liter engine’s intake port locations, but must be used with a 1991-2006 intake manifold. It will also fit 1991-1998 4.0-liter engine exhaust port locations, but must be used with the 1991-1998 factory header or 1991-2006 aftermarket exhaust header. The new Performer 4.0-liter head will also work on 1976-1990 AMC 4.2-liter engines with no modifications to the water jacket, and the appropriate intake manifold and header combination.

Features

The Performer cylinder head features all-new, better flowing intake/exhaust ports along with a modern combustion chamber design and back cut and swirl polished valves. It retains the stock valve angle, pushrod length and valve cover rail height for use with factory components and off the shelf accessories. It also features larger reinforced rocker bosses for improved strength at high RPM and Heli-Coil® threaded inserts in the manifold bolt holes for added strength. A 3/4″ deck throughout the head also promotes stiffness and durability. This cylinder head is machined to accept either distributor or coil pack ignition.
