SEMA Showcase: Eaton ELocker

ELocker & QuietTec

Eaton debuted tons of awesome new solutions at SEMA this November including their electronic, selectable differential called the ELocker. Along with the ELocker, Eaton talked about their new machining process called QuietTec. The Eaton ELocker is an electronic, selectable differential designed for drivers that need traction on-demand. At the flip of a dash switch, drivers can go from open to 100-percent locked. A second flip of the switch deactivates the unit to resume normal driving. The ELocker is the most reliable on-demand differential, featuring selectable operation and net-forged gears for added strength.

QuietTec

One of the most difficult problems for folks to solve is integrating transmission components that avoid adding noise to a build. Eaton has solved this problem by utilizing a new machining process called QuietTec, which eliminates significant gear/pinion friction, thereby reducing noise throughout the entire transmission package.
