Tired of the Jeep Wrangler? There are other options!

Personally, the Ford Raptor has had my eye for quite some time. So much that I have to refrain from blogging about it too much! Opinions are opinions, what catches my eye may not catch yours. Here’s what Road & Track had to say about this year’s lineup of 4×4 juggernauts.

We already know the new Jeep Wrangler is a great off-roader—we discovered as much in our first drive of the truck back in December. But despite what Wrangler diehards may tell you, there are a bunch of other vehicles on the market that are great at driving off-road too.

My choice? Probably the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. I just drove one last weekend and I can confidently say it’s one of the better off-roading trucks I’ve had the pleasure of piloting. Its Multimatic spool-valve dampers—the same sort you get on the Ford GT—are truly magical, able to soak up highway potholes and take jumps with ease.
